Comedian Dustin Ybarra last-minute replacement for Mitch Fatel at Off the Hook

Stand-up comedian Dustin Ybarra will perform tonight through Sunday at the Off the Hook Comedy Club on Marco Island, replacing the originally scheduled performer, Mitch Fatel.
Fatel was unable to keep the engagement because of Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the Northeast.
Brien Spina, the owner of Off the Hook, said Fatel lives in Hoboken, N.J., and was unable to travel because of the damage and flooding the storm caused in that region.
“Dustin was a great choice we are excited to have him during a time when his career is really soaring,” said Spina.
According to Ybarra’s website, he is a Latino comic born and raised in Texas, now living in Pacoima, Calif.
Ybarra was the recent finalist for the “Funniest Dallas Comic,” and the winner of the Rza’s Wu-Tang Chess Rap.
He recently taped a pilot for MTV called “What You’re Watching” with Alexia Chung, and was invited to perform at the NBC Diversity Comedy Showcase in New York City, hosted by Bill Bellamy at Caroline’s Comedy Club.
Ybarra has performed at clubs and colleges nationwide, working with comedic established acts as Jay Mohr, Pablo Francisco and Jimmy Walker to name a few.
Ybarra started out in a comedy troupe called “Sucker Punch Comedy,” an online comic strip that he wrote and starred in.
His television credits include Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” MTV, and “Friday Night Lights.”
